Buy stablecoins

Individual guide — from euros to digital tokens, ready to settle

Reference document for individuals · Legal position as of 19 October 2026

To secure a purchase on ACTUARUS, the buyer pays in stablecoins: tokens backed 1 to 1 by an official currency. ACTUARUS does not sell or convert crypto-assets: you buy them from an authorised crypto-asset service provider (CASP), then send them to your wallet. This guide details the process, from opening the account to the first payment.

ACCEPTED TOKENS

These tokens are issued by institutions authorised in the European Union under the MiCA regulation, and are redeemable at their nominal value. Non-authorised tokens, such as USDT, are not accepted.

THE FIVE-STEP PROCESS

  1. Choose an authorised provider

Select a provider that meets four criteria: a CASP authorisation under MiCA, verifiable on the AMF whitelist or the ESMA public register; an individual account offering; availability of EURC or USDC on Ethereum or Solana; withdrawal to an external wallet. Favour a provider that accepts SEPA transfers.

  2. Open a personal account

The provider is required to verify your identity before opening the account. Prepare an official, valid ID document; depending on the provider and the amounts, proof of residence and proof of the origin of funds may also be requested. Allow for this verification before your first transaction.

  3. Fund the account

Make a SEPA transfer from your bank account. The sending account must be in your name, like the account opened with the provider.

  4. Buy the stablecoins

Convert your euros into EURC, or into USDC for a transaction in dollars, for the amount of the planned transaction. Also buy a small reserve of the network's native token — ETH on Ethereum, SOL on Solana — to pay the fees for your other operations: withdrawals, transfers to your provider, management of your wallet.

  5. Send to your wallet

Add your personal wallet's address to the authorised withdrawal addresses, then select the network used by your wallet: Ethereum or Solana. First make a test transfer of a small amount, check that it arrives, then send the balance.

VERIFYING YOUR WALLET

A European requirement, a quick formality

Above €1,000, European regulation on transfers of funds and crypto-assets (Regulation (EU) 2023/1113) requires the provider to verify that the destination wallet does belong to you. Depending on the provider, this verification is done by a signed message from your wallet, by sending a small amount from this wallet to your account, or by a declaration accompanied by supporting documents. It only needs to be done once per address.

AFTER THE TRANSACTION

The reverse path, seller side

The seller receives the stablecoins in their wallet when the funds are released. To convert them into euros, they follow the same process in reverse: sending to their account with an authorised provider, conversion, then a SEPA transfer to their bank account.
